22 weeks!!

22 weeks/ 5.5 months- holy $#@%! This week has been good minus (my self diagnosed, going to the doctor this week to confirm) this crazy pain going down my right butt cheek into my thigh - damn you SCIATICA! I tell you what, after doing some SERIOUS Google searching sciatica is {usually} at it's worst in the 3rd trimester... I am T.E.R.R.I.F.I.E.D because the pain I'm in now is barely bearable. When I stand up to walk after sitting for more than 5 minutes I walk like I have stick up my butt trying to wait for the pain to subside. AHHH! Anyway no more complaining!
My aunt, and 2 cousins have been visiting since Monday and it has been really nice to catch up with them and spend some quality time with them and my family. It's been probably 5 years since I've seen them and I can honestly say I have truly missed them! My uncle's wedding is TODAY so lots of family is in town- crazy to think we go so long without seeing each other, but when we all get back together it's as if no time has passed <3
This week I also took T for her first MANICURE- she was so excited; she got to pick out her color, sit in a big girl chair and she took it so seriously! these photos don't give it justice::

It was defiantly a memory for the both of us <3 with only a few months left until her baby sister arrives I am really trying to plan some special things for us to do together at least once a week :)

TWENTY-TWO WEEKS!
Baby is the size of a: PAPAYA :)

family photo <3 (including baby G) :)

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

New Symptoms: SCIATICA- I hate you!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: neither!
Maternity Clothes:  just larger sizes for shirts and since it's summer dresses dresses and more dresses!
Stretch Marks: NONE! (keep fingers crossed)
Sleep: I've given up and gaining any more sleep, so being able to sleep any I will take :) I have option to get up when I wake up or I can just lay there and enjoy the piece, soon I wont have that choice (as often as me and D will be taking turns!) so for now, sleep 1- me 0 and I'm okay with that :)
Movement: Oh the movements! I am starting to figure our her sleeping patterns and they are not what I thought; they say babies usually sleep during the day  because of the rocking motion of the mom walking and what not, but miss G is up usually throughout the day- never wakes me up at night-- lets keep that going G!
Food Cravings/Aversions: Nothing has made my stomach upset or made me nauseous this week, but I think it's because I know what to stay away from- craving, nothing to crazy or new, still spicy things- same as last week-- except I tried MUSSELS yesterday.... WOW.. yummmy!
Gender:  GIRL :)
Belly Button In or Out:In!
What I Miss: I am sitting her trying to ponder what I miss.. and honestly can't think of anything- go me :)
What I am Looking Forward To: same as last week : D&T feeling baby G move :)

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

21 weeks!

This week has been a good week- besides the heat wave it was an overall good week! The city pool opened on Monday and Miss T absolutely LOVES the water -- it stinks that D has to work during the day most days so he can't enjoy it with us or take photos, but I will figure out a way to click some photos even if I have to buy a water proof phone case- haha.. {seems like a great idea to me} -- I had my A/S (anomaly scan) on Thursday and was so happy to see baby G. She has gotten so big since the last time I saw her- just love her so much- My mom and T came with me (i love bringing T to the ultra sound appointments because she really seems to understand when baby G pops up on the screen she cheers "BABY SISTAH!" hoping those feelings stay the same when G is born!

Here are some photos/videos from the ultra sound {I could watch them all day}

Here G is reaching for her toes (cheerleader/gymnast already!)

Here G is kissing Mommy, well the placenta but same thing right?!

yup! still a girl :)

sweet profile <3

hands in her mouth!

Just one more video: sucking her thumb <3

I could watch her videos and look at her photos all day. This mama is one lucky woman- I have a beautiful smart amazing daughter and another on the way; oh yeah- can't forget my animal girls and their daddy<3 daddy and his girls... all girls. haha <3

This is a photo I snapped this morning (
a man and his dog <3

And then just a couple of my baby girl- who's not looking much like a baby anymore :(/:)
sweet girl <3

her new favorite toy -- such a big girl
Guess I need one of Luna too if I have one of (literally) the whole family:
oh sweet Luna bear <3

Well I think that's enough photos for today! I am a lucky girl to have such a great family <3

TWENTY-ONE WEEKS!
Baby is the size of a: POMEGRANATE!

Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

New Symptoms: My feet :( my poor poor feet! They aren't swelling (yet) but they just get so sore by the end of the day, had to go out and buy some padded like sandals
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 2lbs
Maternity Clothes:  some, gotta love pregnancy shorts- buttons these days are the devil!
Stretch Marks: NONE! (keep fingers crossed)
Sleep: Sort of getting into a routine; go to bed 10:30-11 [trying to stay up later to spend alone time with D :)] and wake up between 7/730 -- which isn't too bad, only a little of the tossing and turning- luckily my bladder seems to be under control and I don't have to get up to pee during the night! :)
Movement: Totally feeling her move now!! What's crazy is I have been feeling the flutters for a while, but nothing that made me sit there and want to poke my belly to get her to poke back... until 21 weeks to the day (TODAY-- well yesterday since I'm getting this up {again} a day late :/ whoops) I was sitting the computer chair talking to T and all of a sudden the top right (my right) of my belly got a serious jab-- I said "OOOOO, whats going on in there?!" D looked at me like, what are you talking about and I just sat there with my hands on my belly poking around trying to get her to do it again... and she DID-- ahh, it was so amazing! 2 solid minutes of just playing back and forth, mm, sweet baby girl :)
Food Cravings/Aversions: Nothing has made my stomach upset or made me nauseous this week, but I think it's because I know what to stay away from- craving, nothing to crazy or new, still spicy things
Gender:  GIRL :)
Belly Button In or Out:In!
What I Miss: May sound terrible, but being able to have a COLD Budlight Lime on REALLY hott days-- these past few days have almost been unbearable, thank goodness for air conditioners-- I'm not dying for one, but on those days it always felt so good just to have one (or two) to cool down-- but virgin margaritas are a new heatwave suppressor haha :)
What I am Looking Forward To: D&T feeling baby G move :) Not fair that I get to enjoy all the fun {well, actually its cute for just the two of us to bond right now :)}

Happy Saturday (Sunday) Everyone!!

HALF WAY THERE! 20 WEEKS!!

*For some reason, this didn't get posted in time, another day late :/*

How in the world am I already at 20 weeks?! I feel like time is truly flying by! I'm feeling okay starting this week, my exhaustion level is still out of wack, but after reading mr. google and other pregnancy sites, I'm hoping I will feel even a LITTLE back to feeling like myself. The work week seemed to fly by (which is always nice) T is doing so well. I am so proud to call myself her mommy- she's just so smart and has such a large vocabulary; for example I bought her this HUGE plastic egg that had Dora the Explorer tattoos in it and instead of saying "Big Egg Mommy" she said "GIANT Egg Mommy!" Like what?? Yeah that may not be big to some people but that is impressive to me!
We went to the Circus in Rochester today (Saturday), and it wasn't great, but Tia had a great time. We were hoping to see elephants and tigers (as they advertised via their website) but she was happy to see zebras, camels and mini horses! She rode one of the horses for all of 10 seconds-- that cost $6.00-- haha, lucky she's cute- but I did manage to get a photo thank goodness!
Family <3

1st horsey ride (she lasted 10 seconds)

TWENTY WEEKS!

Baby is the size of a: CANTALOUPE!
19 weeks, 5 days!

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!
New Symptoms: Nothing new!
Total Weight Gain/Loss:
gained 2lbs
Maternity Clothes:  dresses and yoga pants and some maternity shirts
Stretch Marks: NONE! (keep fingers crossed)
Sleep: Still a struggle :( wish I could take something to knock me out- just for one night so I feel rested!
Movement: small flutters and thought I felt something low in my uterus, but not counting it :/
Food Cravings/Aversions: SPRITE! It always makes me feel better, dont like soda very much but this really helps with heartburn (strange right?) and thank goodness its caffeine free! AVERSIONS:: sweets, yuck!
Gender:  GIRL :)
Belly Button In or Out:In!
What I Miss: s.l.e.e.p.i.n.g
What I am Looking Forward To: My A/S (anomaly scan) on Thursday :)

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

19 weeks!

*ONE DAY LATE-- WHOOPS!* How in the world has time gone by so quickly?!?!?! I'm a week short of being 1/2 done with this pregnancy.. are you kidding me?! Well everyone said it would fly by and it truly is. I get to see Miss Giana again in 11 days and it's those appointments I feel like it's her moment and the idea of having another baby girl around is going to happen sooner than I think -- someone asked me today "are you excited for the baby!?" I totally am, but feel like I'm not able to really enjoy being pregnant now because I'm so on the go with work, T and the animal children- yes D helps a lot which is nice, but its still hard to have that time I did when I was pregnant with T to just sit and stare at my belly or "ooo" and "ahh" about this growing belly of mine! I am very excited for her arrival- and seeing her and T form that sister bond <3 Sometimes (just about every day haha) I feel like when I wake up its like.. woah- there IS a baby in there, look at this belly!

belly @ 19 weeks 1 day!

This week was an average week - the weather has finally made a turn around, well this weekend at least :) - it was nice to get T outside in the fresh air and warm sun! Today we went to Pawtuckaway state park and had a great time -- here we go onto another week!

Photo of the week: mommy & my baby girl :)
Love you more today than yesterday but not nearly as much as tomorrow <3

NINETEEN WEEKS!
Baby is the size of a: MANGO!

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

New Symptoms: Thigh/Butt pain! When I say I pain I mean I wince walking!!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: neither!
Maternity Clothes:  dresses and yoga pants and some maternity shirts
Stretch Marks: NONE! (keep fingers crossed)
Sleep: Insomnia is defiantly kicking in- I'm up at 2:00am writing this blog and there is no yawning and tiredness in sight - so sad, because Lord knows I will be awake around 8am AND tomorrow is Market Square day and I'm going to be exhausted-- oh well :)
Movement: So wishing for those major kicks!!!! I was feeling serious business with T at 16 weeks, but I do feel something (and have seen to elective ultra sounds a bunch so I know she's alright) - this damn placenta- oh well, those movements will come soon, I should really enjoy being "comfortable" right?!
Food Cravings/Aversions: Lately, I've been wanting super spicy food- not just buffalo wings, but ANYTHING spicy-crushed red pepper pumpkin seeds- like are you kidding me, normally I would turn my nose away, but wow were they good. A new aversion- sweets- which is a plus-- just can't seem to enjoy them like I used too, and this girl LOVES peanut butter cookies, yeah- not anymore, took a bite and couldn't even finish it without gagging!!
Gender:  GIRL :)
Belly Button In or Out:In!
What I Miss: s.l.e.e.p.i.n.g
What I am Looking Forward To: I've said it the past maybe 4 post, but really feeling her MOVE --- ahhhh!

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

First Public Photo of G :)

I posted this on FB a few days ago; after seeing baby G at the elective ultra sound and then coming home and looking at the photos again, this one photo I could not keep to myself-- it's so crazy how each time I see her it just feels more real each time-- that this beautiful girl is growing inside of me :)

Giana Jade
Her little fingers and that pose is so precious!
11.03.12, cannot wait to meet you sweet girl <3

18 weeks!

My oh my! It feels like time is flying, and that I just posed about 17 weeks yesterday!! This week as been pretty average. It was memorial day so the week was all crazy at work. I had to work Monday which was alright because it was double time (booyaaa), but took Tuesday off which in all honesty was LOVELY! I enjoyed a morning home with T and be in pj's all day- well until about 1pm :) the rest of the week (3 days) felt like a drag though, so strange!

We went to the lake this past Saturday (Pawtuckaway State Park) and T & I had so much fun, D had to work a double so he wasn't able to come which was no fun, but we had a great time just the two of us. We got there around 11am and didn't leave until 530! T only got out of the water to eat which was maybe 15 minutes- what a great time- we will be going back quite a few times this summer!

Some exciting news, I went and had another elective ultra sound done because I was so anxious to see her, next one is scheduled for June 21st and that's just too long! well, baby girl looks great! :) I have only felt her move twice and was concerned, but was told today that I have an anterior placenta (as I mentioned in a few posts back) and it still hasn't moved up yet so the placenta is taking most of the hits from baby girl and I just feel the after math, if any - she is only 6 ounces, so the time will come just later than I was counting on. I really can't wait for her to move around and let T feel her! I guess I should enjoy still being some what comfortable for now ;)

photos of the week:

all clean :)
naptime with daddy <3

EIGHTEEN WEEKS!
Baby is the size of an: SWEET POTATO!

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon!

New Symptoms: Nothing new- same ol' same ol'
Total Weight Gain/Loss: gained 1lb
Maternity Clothes:  dresses and yoga pants and some maternity shirts
Stretch Marks: NONE! (keep fingers crossed)
Sleep: I'm still struggling with feeling refreshed or that I got enough sleep! I can't seem to sleep past 7am, and IF I make it to 7am, that's sleeping in! Ah! Extremely jealous of D&T and Keela & Luna!!
Movement: Feeling little things, felt the first kick/punch last Wednesday, and little flutters here and there but still no hard blows! Went to doctor's yesterday and the placenta has not stretched so that's the reason why I'm not feeling anything- still-- blah!
Food Cravings/Aversions: For a while I could not eat PICKLES- the sour taste was too much for me- didn't realize it was an aversion since I stayed away from them 3 days after finding out I was pregnant-- but then THURSDAY I was looking at the jar in the refrigerator and it was almost like the pickle jar was glowing and the angels were singing -- I grabbed them took out a pickle and put the jar back... within seconds grabbed the jar out again, brought it to the living room and ate... all... of them... AND drank the pickle juice- YUM.
Gender:  GIRL :)
Belly Button In or Out:In!
What I Miss: Feeling refreshed after a good nights sleep or nap!
What I am Looking Forward To: T being able to feel G kick! She's already so cute with talking to my belly, but to see her expression when she feels her is going to be priceless! I WILL capture it on video- I hope.

Happy Saturday Everyone!!
